Verity Health System is proud to announce that Eleanor Ramirez was recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of 2018’s Minority Executives to Watch in Healthcare. The profiles of all the winners are featured in the February 26, 2018 print issue of Modern Healthcare and at ModernHealthcare.com/Top25Minorities.
Eleanor Ramirez, RN, PHN, BSN, MS, serves as Chief of Hospital Operations for the six Verity Health System hospitals. Eleanor has extensive experience in the healthcare market, focusing on quality, operations, program management, infrastructure modeling and most clinical and support services. Prior to joining Verity, she was Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at NantHealth, where she was instrumental in the development of a Patient and Provider Engagement Center.
"It is an honor to be recognized by Modern Healthcare as a Minority Executive to Watch," said Eleanor Ramirez. "This is an exciting time at Verity Health with a tremendous amount of growth taking place at all of the hospitals. We are committed to transforming healthcare for the communities we serve."
In its seventh year, the biennial recognition program honors the top minority healthcare executives who are influencing the policy and care delivery models across the country. In doing so, they are also highlighting the continued need to nurture diversity in our organizations.
"From leaders of health systems who are actively working to make sure that communities of color have access to affordable and high-quality healthcare to heroes who protected victims of natural disasters and violent protests, this year’s Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare exemplify resilience and tenacity,” said Modern Healthcare Editor Aurora Aguilar. “These leaders have produced incredible results by elevating the quality of patient care at their organizations while supporting and advancing their peers to boost diversity in the C-suite. As Modern Healthcare’s first Latina editor, I take special pride in this program and look forward to seeing the Top 25 and the 10 to Watch honorees grow in their roles and their influence."
