Seton Medical Center Foundation celebrated 40 years of medical service by distinguished cardiologist Coleman Ryan, MD, at the Sipping with Seton event held April 6. More than 250 guests – including dedicated community members and donors, physicians, hospital staff and event sponsors – joined for a celebratory evening of fine wine tastings at the Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City.
The evening was extraordinary in combining fun and awareness of Seton’s long legacy of providing exceptional cardiac services at Seton Medical Center. A silent auction included a wide selection of desirable wines, vacations and experiences. Special items included a golf package at the Lake Merced Gold Club, a flight on Philippine Airlines, and all-expenses paid stay at an Omni package.
The event raised funds to establish the Coleman Ryan, MD Cardiovascular Excellence Fund and support the purchase of specialized equipment, such as the Impella CP® heart pumps and ECMO equipment, and training to provide enhanced patient care during lab procedures, specialized surgery and critical care recovery.
"The generosity and support of the community and individuals at this event strengthens Seton Medical Center’s future," says Mark Fratzke, chief executive officer of Seton Medical Center. "The money raised allows us to continue to provide and enhance critical cardiovascular services to our patients and community. We are honored to continue the legacy Dr. Coleman Ryan has helped build and thankful for the privilege of caring for this community."
Seton Medical Center Foundation expressed appreciation to the generous event sponsors, including: Physicians of Seton Medical Center, Agbayani Construction Corporation, Cypress Lawn, Ropes & Gray, ANX Healthcare, Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, Evelyn Ryan, Access Primary Care Medical Group, Edgardo Alicaway, MD, Foley & Lardner, LLP, Jensen + Partners, Susan Longar, MD, Louis Lam/American Teo Chew Business Assn Inc., Lucky Chances, Reliant Project Management, Republic Services, Transamerica Retirement Solutions, The Walker Family Charitable Fund, Wall and Ceiling Alliance, Mark Waxman, Corporate Security Service, Inc., Wilson Chu, Pauline Fong-Martinez, Brian Grady, MD and Raul Hernandez, MD, Alex Herreria, JS Communications, Medline Industries, Inc., Pacifica Nursing and Rehab Center, Regency Centers, Robert Perez, MD, James Reynolds, MD, and George & Shiela Tichy.
