Our Approach to Coronavirus and COVID-19
Our physicians and clinicians have reviewed CDC and CDPH guidelines on PPE usage and applied evidenced -based clinical thinking to establish our PPE policy. We are ensuring that our overall policy prioritizes safety for our patients, staff and physicians, especially when taking care of COVID positive patients.
We have limited our entrances to a single point of entry for all patients, staff, physicians, and vendors entering Seton Medical Center. We provide temperature screenings and ask crucial questions aligned with COVID positive symptoms. Wearing of masks in patient care areas is required throughout Seton Medical Center.
While we understand that the presence of a support person is essential to patients, per CDPH recommendations, we are limiting visitors to one support person at a time who are asymptomatic for COVID-19 and not be suspected or a recently confirmed case.
