We also have a breast-feeding support group that meets at the hospital every Wednesday morning to help new mothers with any concerns or issues. For more information on lactation support, please call (408) 848-8639.

Childbirth Preparation Classes

Classes are offered in a 5-week series or 2-day weekend series.

Learn about the birth process in a comfortable, nurturing environment.

This series will cover:

  • Signs and symptoms of labor
  • What to expect at the hospital
  • Laboring positions and stages of labor
  • Relaxation and breathing techniques
  • The birth partner’s role—techniques on how to support a laboring woman

We recommend couples begin this series between 28 and 30 weeks.

Sibling Preparation Class

The arrival of a new baby can bring many changes to a family and this can pose challenges for older siblings. This class will help prepare soon-to-be brothers and sisters for the arrival of the new baby. This class is for children ages 3 to 8. At least one parent is required to attend.
