St Louise Regional Hospital is a proud supporter of CaringBridge, a free online service for patients to keep their family and friends informed during any type of health journey — medical treatment, childbirth, rehabilitation or end-of-life care.
Personalized websites, available 24 hours a day, communicate messages of love, compassion and healing. The social network sites save the family time updating others via the telephone, e-mail or text messages, letting them focus on the needs of their loved one.
The websites are easy to use, and provide a secure space where family members can update their caring communities with news on their loved one’s progress, write Journal entries of support, display photos and receive messages and words of encouragement in a Guestbook. CaringBridge Sites also feature an online planner where people can coordinate visits and sign up to help with tasks. Visitors are provided with a unique web page address, which can be linked through social networks such as Facebook.
Visit the CaringBridge website for more information on creating your own CaringBridge site (or start a site for someone who needs one). CaringBridge offers online support.
